The German health holding company Lüneburg has commissioned Ascom to expand the IP DECT and Unite server infrastructure in its hospitals. The project has a volume of more than EUR 1.5 million.
Gesundheitsholding Lüneburg is an association of nine companies from the fields of prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and nurse care under municipal ownership. Back in 2014, Ascom was commissioned to set up an IP-DECT system with a personal emergency signal function in one of the clinics in the network. With its modern solution for workflow orchestration, alerting, and the IP DECT system with which USP can be installed on IP and conventional infrastructure, Ascom was able to offer an integrated and convincing solution. Based on the positive experience with the system to date, it is now being rolled out to the entire Lüneburg health holding company with more than 1800 DECT terminals, over 500 base stations, and a redundant Unite server infrastructure. This will significantly improve the interoperability of the information system within the network and significantly support future-oriented digitalization.
With more than 1000 beds and 3800 employees, the health holding company is the largest employer and trainer in the region.
