The Challenge

When facing staff shortages and intellectual overload, delivering quality care becomes a challenge. Current methods such as traditional sporadic spot checking are time consuming and lack efficiency1. Besides, without connected technologies, clinicians are facing a lack of visibility and clinical context, which may constitute a risk for patient safety.

The Solution

 

This interoperability partnership allows clinicians to access patient data in a structured and insightful way. The Ascom healthcare platform extracts Medtronic medical devices1 data and alarms unlocking actionable clinical insights for the clinical staff. The solution extends medical devices integration and state of the art alarm management both at the central station and on mobile devices.

Improving patient and clinical staff outcomes

  • Medical devices integration: unlocks data and alarms from Medtronic devices with the ability to send it to any destination system (i.e. EMR, HIS, PDMS, etc.) in using standard communication protocols (IHE HL7)
  • Connect Medtronic ventilators (Puritan-Benett 980 and 840), regional oximeters (INVOS PM 7100 and 5100C) and the latest Corsano™ multi-parameter wearable
  • The Corsano™ multi-parameter wearable and the Ascom healthcare platform allow continuous multiparameter monitoring across the full healthcare continuum (pre operation, peri operative at the hospital and at home during recovery)
  • Patient visibility: displays data and alarms from multiple patients on a single screen, offering a comprehensive and contextualized overview.
